Psihopatološke dimenzije ličnosti, traženje senzacija i preferencija sportova kod nasilnih i nenasilnih kriminalaca

Abstract

The increase in delinquency in Serbia, considering the number of perpetrators of violent crimes, it becomes worrisome. Taking into account the data of the Secretariat of the Interior, which each year finds an increase in the number of perpetrators of violent crimes, it seems that for now the sociaty is helpless to completely fully cope with the more frequent occurrence of antisocial behavior form a part of the population. Do not ignoring the importance of criminological dimensions of personality as factors responsible for dissocial forms of human reaction, there is a request for the programming of these activities will affect the reduction and channeling pathologies, and to the extent possible, the development of cognitive abilities. Taking into account these problems, the subject of this research are the dimensions of personality, sensation seeking and preference for a particular sport (with no risk, minimal risk, moderate risk and high risk), with the perpetrators of violent crimes, that is a killer (rational, impulsive and psychopathological motivated), sex offenders and burglars against the perpetrators of non-violent property crime. With regard to the execution of violent criminal offenses affecting a number of factors in the domain of psychic constitution of the individual, primarily responsible for specific events, this study will try to determine the differences in the structure of personality, sensations seeking, as well as attitudes towards a particular sport between the perpetrators of violent crimes, the this case the perpetrators of the killings (rational, motivated impulsive and psychopathic), perpetrators of sexual offenses and offenders burglary, in relation to the perpetrators of violent crime. The aim of this research is to identify and define psychopathological dimensions of the perpetrators of violent crimes, the impact of the tendency towards sensationalism to the execution of violent offenses and the level of engagement and attitudes towards certain sports delinquent in the sample population, a set of five major hypotheses. The role of sport in correctional institutions is very complex. Sports programs can improve mental and physical health, it can also be a very effective tool in controlling aggressive behavior of the convict. Some scientists suggest that the inclusion of sport and recreation moral issue, referring to the right of convicts to fruition. Finally, further research would be able to use these results to develop projects resocialization convicts of serious crimes and non-violent crime, using sport for that purpose. The results clearly create an image of the usefulness of the participation of convicts in sports activities. In this regard, the role of sport in transition to adapt the community after serving the sentence, can be great.
