| sr |
dc.description.abstract | The doctoral dissertation Time, space and body in Zivojin Pavlovic’s fiction and film looks at the way in which these three elements – time, space and body – are connected in constructing the narrative in both literature and film. It identifies the formation process behind each of the segments mentioned above, and highlights their importance in building Pavlovic’s fictional world. The Introduction chapter explains the importance of two theories used during the interpretation of the author’s craft. The theories applied in the research assume narratological and feminist reading of the text, more precisely, the kind of reading that interprets the body from a position close to gender theorists. The history of narratology as a field is introduced with Plato and Aristotle and their definition of the story. Later on, the importance of Russian formalism and structuralism for the formation of narratological approach is pointed out. Finally, the emphasis is put on the contribution of classical narratologists, whose narrative analyses are primarily structural... | en |
