Bis(bipiridin)rutenijum(II) kompleksi (1-5) opšte formule [Ru(L)(bpy)2]PF6, gde je bpy = 2,2′-bipiridin; HL = 3-metilpiridin-2-karboksilna kiselina (HL1), 6-metilpiridin-2-karboksilna kiselina (HL2), 5-bromopiridin-2-karboksilna kiselina (HL3) 6-brompiridin-2-karboksilna kiselina (HL4) i piridin-2,4-dikarboksilna kiselina (HL5) su sintetisani i potpuno okarakterisani.
