Abstract
KOLUBARA i terenskih merenja dinamičkog ponašanja bagera u radu. Implementacija ovako koncipirane metodologije optimizacije dužine strele rotornih bagera u funkciji stabilnosti kosina, pri otkopavanju lignita Srbije, omogućila bi znatno pouzdanija rešenja, kako same konstrukcije bagera tako i geometrije kopa, tj. njegovih zahtevanih visina i uglova nagiba, uz bolje ekonomske i ekološke učinke...

Bucket wheel excavators (BWE) are machines that are nowadays the most frequently used in the mass mining of coal, thanks to, more than all, a series of technical and exploitation advantages over other types of excavators. A variety of mining and technical mining requirements contributed to development of several types of these machines, so that each of them has its advantages and disadvantages compared to other type. The subject of the thesis relates to the selection of the optimal excavator boom and its compliance with the conditions of the working environment, which will prevail on the opencast lignite mines in Serbia, having in mind the complex mining conditions (great depth of synclinal coal dipping, the necessity of selective operation, the presence of unfavorable material from the standpoint of slope stability, etc.). Starting from the fact that there is still no generally accepted methodology for determining the optimum length of BWE boom, as well as its impact on the structure ...of the excavator, the thesis defines the overall research methodology of this issue to the analysis and systematization of current knowledge and research results in this area. In this thesis were used modeling methods of excavator boom, working environment modeling and modeling of operating machinery with the use of real data from the opencast mines of MB KOLUBARA and field measurements of the dynamic behavior of excavator during operation. Implementation of such designed methodology for optimization of BWE’s boom length in the function of slope stability, during excavation of lignite excavation in Serbia, would allow significantly more reliable solutions, both the structure and geometry of the mine, i.e. its required heights and angle of inclination, with better economic and environmental effects...
