Procena dejstva glasne muzike na oštećenje sluha kod mladih osoba

Abstract

Buka predstavlja za ljudsko uvo nepoželjan i nekoristan zvuk, ali može se reći da je ona sveprisutni činilac u životnoj i radnoj sredini u savremenom svetu. Štetne posledice po sluh, sem faktora koji potiču iz životne i radne sredine, može imati i neprofesionolano izlaganje buci (socioacusis) u svakodnevnim aktivnostima. Oštećenja sluha nastala kao posledica dejstva buke predstavljaju značajan javno zdravstveni problem, posebno kod mladih osoba, koji su najčešći korisnici personalnih muzičkih uređaja i posetioci klubova gde se sluša glasna muzika. Ranijim istraživanjem objavljenim još davne 1985. godine, ustanovljeno je da 40% studenata starosti od 16 do 25 godina imaju oštećenje sluha nastalo kao posledica izlaganju prekomernom nivou buke. Druga istraživanja kasnije, u Velikoj Britaniji, Švedskoj i Kini, takođe su potvrdile slične rezultate u vezi sa oštećenjem sluha kod mladih osoba. Jedna od prvih velikih studija bila je populaciona studija koju su sproveli Niskar i saradnici, koja je pokazala da 12.5% mladih starosti između 6 i 19 godina imaju problem sa sluhom koji je nastao kao posledica izloženosti prekomerenom nivou buke.

Noise represents undesirable and useless sound for the human ear, but it could be said that it is a ubiquitous factor in living and working environment in the modern world. Besides risk factors from living and working environment, a leisure time noise (socioacusis) also has some harmful effects on hearing. Hearing impairment caused by noise exposure represents a significant public health problem, especially among young people, who are the most frequent users of personal music devices and clubs visitors as well. Earlier research published in 1985 found that 40% of students aged 16 to 25 years have a hearing loss incurred as a result of exposure to excessive noise levels. Later, some other research conducted in the United Kingdom, Sweden and China, have also confirmed similar results the relation of exposure to excessive noise levels and hearing the loss in young adults. One of the first major studies were the population study conducted by Niskar and colleagues, which showed that 12.5% of young people between the ages of 6 and 19 years have a hearing problem that arose as a result of too much exposure to the excessive noise levels.
