In the following dissertation are presented numerical studies of the nonequilibrium athermal random eld Ising model driven in adiabatic regime, regarding the correlations in the waiting times and the studies of behavior of the critical disorder and critical magnetic eld in thin systems of thickness l. Intermittent bursts of activity, known as avalanches, portray the critical behavior of the system. The distributions of avalanches show power-law scaleinvariant properties. Presented studies, based on the scaling and the collapsing of the data collected in numerical simulations, show that correlations can emerge when a nite threshold is applied on the signals. In this process, the events of interest, called subavalanches, are separated from the original avalanches and one can dene waiting time as a time measured between two consecutive excursions above the given threshold. Even the triggering of the avalanches (could) be an uncorrelated process, waiting times (could) be power-law distributed implying the onset of threshold-induced correlations. Nevertheless, signals collected in experiments contain external noise which can impact the observed properties so the analysis was also done on the signals containing imposed externally generated noise. Two types of noise with various standard deviations were used - uniform white noise, generated from uniform distribution, and Gaussian white noise generated from Gaussian distribution. It turns out that noise aects values of the exponent S=T that describes the scaling of the average avalanche size hSiT with duration T and this change depends on the noise type. Also, distributions of waiting time and collapses of its distributions are aected too, so a shift parameter and shift functions are proposed as methods for overcoming these distortions. The foregoing results are obtained through extensive numerical simulations on the equilateral cubic three-dimensional RFIM systems of various sizes and disorders, all of them having closed boundary conditions. Most of the samples used in experiments are not equilateral, but have one linear dimension signicantly smaller than the other two. With geometry of sample critical parameters also change. The way of how variation of thickness l (the smallest dimension of system whose other dimensions are much bigger), aects the values of critical disorder Rc(l) and critical magnetic eld Hc(l) of innite systems with thickness l is shown in this dissertation. Also, the expressions for the eective critical disorder Re c (l; L) and eective critical magnetic eld He c (l; L) of the LLl systems, playing the role of the eective critical parameters in these systems are proposed alongside. These hypotheses are supported by the scaling collapses of magnetization and susceptibility curves which are achieved with two-dimensional exponents when l is small enough, giving numerical evidence that the thin systems exhibit a 2D-like criticality. Data are collected from extensive simulations done on nonequilateral systems of size L L l for many dierent values of thickness l and disorder R, with two dierent boundary conditions - closed or open along l, and closed along L.en
