korisnike, ono nije istraženo u dovoljnoj meri.
finansijskog izveštavanja, utvrđivanje determinanti kvaliteta, merenje kvaliteta i analizu ...razlika
i stepenom integrisanosti u Evropskoj uniji.
korelacije, regresije, Hi kvadrat testa i Kruskal-Volisovog testa.
Interim financial reporting is reporting for periods shorter than a year. Although it is mandatory in
almost all countries of the world, especially when it comes to companies whose securities are traded
on the organized capital market and is of great importance for investors and other users, it has not
been sufficiently researched. It is basically quite like the annual reporting, but it also has its specifics,
which are primarily related to the greater representation of estimates and unaudited. Precisely these
specifics, but also the pressures that are created on the capital market, often call into que stion the
quality of interim financial statements. For this reason, the subject of research, in this doctoral
dissertation, is the evaluation of the interim financial reporting quality, intended for external users, in
the countries of Southeast Europe. The goals are to properly position the importance of interim
financial reporting, determine quality determinants, measure quality and ana...lyze differences between
observed countries, but also companies within the same country, and identify the importance of
frequency and regularity of interim financial reporting on efficient functioning of capital markets. A
survey of a sample of 225 companies from ten different capital markets in Southeast Europe shows
that the differences are significant and strongly related to capital market liquidity and the degree of
integration in the European Union. The causes of differences in quality are also the characteristics of
the companies themselves, their sectoral affiliation, as well as exposure to regulatory risk, but the
strength of this connection is much weaker. Quality measurement was performed using the index for
measuring the quality of interim financial reporting developed for this research, which is
predominantly constructed based on the requirements contained in IAS 34, but applicable in other
researches, while to determine the existence, strength and direction of the relationship with other
variables, there were used methods of correlation, regression, Chi-square test and Kruskal-Wallis test.
