Средњоевропски утицаји на развој београдске архитектуре 1919-1941.

Abstract

Средњоевропски утицаји у међуратној архитектури Београда испољили су се кроз различите материјалне и духовне елементе чије проучавање захтева слојевит приступ тумачењу посматраних појава. У раду је фокус стављен на сагледавање и тумачење архитектонских токова, идеја и схватања, који упућују на континуирани средњоевропски утицај у међуратном београдском градитељству, као и друштвених и културолошких предуслова који су подстакли и омогућили њихово прихватање. Осим монографском анализом појединачних остварења, присуство средњоевропских доприноса је разматрано кроз подстицаје новог окружења створеног формирањем Краљевине СХС, повратак у земљу послератне генерације српских архитеката са студија из иностранства, деловање страних архитеката који су део живота и професионалног ангажмана посветили Београду, организовање архитектонских и ликовних изложби међународног карактера, као и подстицање међудржавне културне размене. Присуство програма, стилова и схватања средњоевропског порекла током међуратног периода створило је аутентичан грађевински фонд Београда, који се одликује изузетном разноликошћу архитектонских облика и садржаја. Рад je структуриран на начин да пружи што целовитији увид и приказ средњоевропских утицаја изражених у домену пројектовања и обликовања и уплива усађених у теоријску и идеолошку основу деловања београдских архитеката. Утицаји су праћени кроз присуство конзервативних тенденција средњоевропскe архитектуре (академизам и национално обојени романтизам) и кроз продор модерних метода и стилских склопова (кубизам, експресионизам, рационализам, функционализам). Поступак њиховог препознавања подразумевао је утврђивање подударности, додирних тачака и симултаности у заступаним идејама и ставовима домаћих градитеља, као и у појавности њихових реализација (естетском изразу, облицима, структурама). Због широког оквира у којима се таква преклапања могу установити, тумачења и закључци у овом раду су изнети с циљем да подстакну будућа проучавања у ширем опсегу историје српске архитектуре.

Central European influences on the interwar architecture in Belgrade demonstrated themselves through different material and spiritual elements, the study of which requires multi-layered approach to interpreting the observed aspects and phenomena. The focus of this paper is on taking stock on and interpreting architectural trends, ideas and notions, that point to continuous Central European influence on the interwar civil engineering, as well as depicting social and cultural preconditions that instilled them and enabled them to be accepted. Apart from monographic analysis of individual achievements, the role of Central European contribution to shaping the interwar architecture in Belgrade is studied through stimuli caused by the new environment created by the formation of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, the return of the post-war generation of Serbian architects to their homeland from the studies abroad, the engagement of foreign architects, the organisation of international architectural and art exhibitions, as well as the advancement of international institutional cultural exchange. The presence of programs, styles and notions Central European in origin in the interwar period created the authentic architectural inventory of Belgrade, characterised by the exceptional diversity of architectural forms and contents. This paper is structured in such a way as to offer as comprehensive description as possible of the Central European influences on designing and shaping, as well as of the impacts instilled in theoretical and ideological basis of the activities of Belgrade architects. The influences were monitored through the presence of conservative Central European architectural tendencies (academicism and national romanticism) and the break-through of modern methods and styles (Cubism, Expressionism, Rationalism, Functionalism). The process of their identification included determining congruence, common points and simultaneity in ideas and perspectives, as well as in the aesthetic expression, forms and structures of the conceptual and the designs that were carried out. Owing to the broad framework in which such overlaps can be perceived, the presented interpretations are made and conclusions drawn with the view to encouraging future multidisciplinary researches of the history of Serbian architecture.
