Abstract

Imitujući tradicionalne modele na formalnoj ravni, Dante stvara prvu epsku formu na pučkom jeziku i tako na tekstu Komedije i praktično dokazuje svoje teorijske postavke o podjednakoj vrednosti pučkog i latinskog jezika. To će postati i jedan od osnovnih podstreka potonjim autorima epa, a nadasve Ariostu i Tasu, da se vrate upravo Danteovom delu i njegovom specifičnom reinterpretiranju antike. Budući smatran klasičnim epom na pučkom jeziku, on će postati nezaobilazna književna auctoritas, nadasve na stilsko-retorskom planu, i pored različitih zamerki koje kritika XVI veka ističe u vezi s njegovim specifičnim leksičkim fondom i stilsko-jezičkim postupcima kojima postiže variatio...

Imitating traditional models on a formal level, Dante creates the first epic form in vernacular and in that manner practically proves his theoretical standpoints about the equal value of vernacular and Latin in the text of the Comedy. This will become one of the main incentives to the latter authors of epic poetry, and above all to Ariosto and Tasso, to return to Dante's work and his specific reinterpretation of antiquity.
