raznovrsna mehanizacija.
dobijanje kvalitetnih rezultata o proceni integriteta i veka čelične konstrukcije
eksperimentalnim rezultatima.
i tenzometrijska ispitivanja čelične konstrukcije u cilju određivanja stvarnog
deformacijskog i naponskog stanja u neopterećenom i opterećenom stanju.
Naredni korak obuhvata analitičko određivanje i analizu varijanti opterećenja koja
deluju na čeličnu konstrukciju „P“ nosača, formiranje MKE modela i analizu
naponskog stanja čelične konstrukcije „P“ nosača u karakterističnim položajima
bagera.
The lignite production in our country is carried out at the opencast mines within the mining
basins “Kolubara” in Lazarevac and “Kostolac” in Kostolac and is considered one of the most
important economic activities.
For the purpose of coal production, the opencast mines are equipped with numerous and
diverse machines. Bucket-wheel excavator has a key role in the exploitation of lignite and
represents one of the most complex technical systems in the industry in general.
The need for a high rate of capacity utilization of systems, the obsolesce of excavators and
difficult conditions for excavation led to a significant increase in unexpected operating delays
which often had serious consequences for the excavator and induced system outages that lasted
for several months or even for years.
The goal of this PhD thesis (doctoral dissertation) is the development of a methodology that
consists of several techniques for obtaining high-quality results of the assessment of the
integrity and lifesp...an of steel structures of large mining machines by using numerical and
experimental methods.
The techniques are based on destructive and non-destructive testing, experimental
measurements, computer modeling, structural analysis by applying the finite element method
and iterative alignment with experimental results.
In the thesis dissertation, the emphasis is placed on the steel structure and the fact that,
despite of its long lifespan, its failure has a considerable impact on reliability, longevity and
operational safety of the entire mining machine.
The application of the developed methodology is demonstrated on BWE SchRs 800/1,2x2.5,
which is located at “Drmno” opencast mine in Kostolac. Namely, the excavator was
“performing poorly” during exploitation, i.e. among other issues, some cracks appeared on the
structural P (Cyrillic) shape steel beam, which required a halt in the excavator’s operation to
carry out the repairs.
At the beginning, destructive and non-destructive tests were undertaken in order to gauge
the current state of the “P” beam structure. The next step is the rehabilitation of the steel
structure of the “P” beam. It is followed by placing measuring tapes on the steel structure of the
“P” beam and carrying out tensometric testing of the steel structure in order to identify the
actual stress-strain state under the unloaded and loaded conditions.
The next step encompasses the analytical determination and analysis of the impact of load
variants on the steel structure of the “P” beam, the formation of the FEM model and the analysis
of the stress state of the “P” beam steel structure in the characteristic positions of the excavator.
The output of the methodology comprises the findings that enable the determination of the
actual behavior of the steel structure during exploitation, the assessment of its state and lifespan,
as well as the causes of unsatisfying performance of the steel structure. On the basis of these
findings, it would be possible to undertake specific activities aimed at improving the steel
structure, i.e. increasing its lifespan, thus also increasing the lifespan of the entire mining
machine. Generally speaking, these activities could be the continuation of further operation of
the mining machine without intervention, then rehabilitation, reconstruction, revitalization,
modernization or write-off.
