The sample of 30 male athletes, aged 15 to 21 years old, all of them included in regular training process, were divided into two groups – control and experimental. Compensatory and preventive programs were applied in experimental group, and their aim was to strength, stretch and correct antagonist muscle groups, mainly injury risk areas of track and field athletes. The aim of the research was to determine influence of different compensatory and preventive programs on athlete’s health and speed development regarding both groups at the end of the 12 weeks (three months) experiment. Internal metric characteristics of all tests were good and satisfactory and the results of Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) tested the differences of 4 sprint variables between control and experimental groups and suggested that there is statistically significant difference in values of variables between subjects of different groups of athletes in favor of experimental group.
