Prostorno-vremenski obrasci korišćenja javnih prostora u centralnim pešačkim zonama gradova Vojvodine

Abstract

Opšti predmet istraživanja disertacije odnosi se na razumevanje urbane strukture kao složenog prostornog sistema. Ispitivanjem dublje geometrijske logike unutar urbane forme, moguće je odrediti ključne prostorne odnose koji utiču na način na koji ljudi koriste javne prostore za kretanje i druge aktivnosti. Problem istraživanja je definisanje, uočavanje i izdvajanje parametara prostorne konfiguracije urbane strukture koji se nameću kao determinante prostorno-vremenskih obrazaca korišćenja javnih prostora. Istraživanje je podeljeno prema fazama i prostornim nivoima, i za cilj ima uspostavljanje relacija između konfiguracijskih atributa urbane strukture i utvrđenih kvantitativnih i kvalitativnih karakteristika i aspekata javnih prostora. Za istraživanje prostorne konfiguracije javnih prostora, putem analize grafa vidljivosti i analize bazirane na agentima, tj. virtuelne simulacije kretanja pešaka, primenjen je metod prostorne sintakse. Fokus sprovedenih analiza su parametri povezanost i vizuelna integracija, koji su vrednovani u odnosu na potencijalne fizičke i vizuelne prepreke u prostoru. Empirijsko istraživanje prostorno-vremenskih obrazaca korišćenja javnih prostora, obuhvata centralne pešačke zone Novog Sada, Subotice i Zrenjanina. Primenom novih teorija i metoda, dobijeni su rezultati koji daju važan naučni doprinos domenu studija javnih prostora grada.

The general subject of the thesis research refers to the understanding of the urban structure as a complex spatial system. By examining the deeper geometric logic within the urban form, it is possible to determine the key spatial relations that influence the way people use public spaces for movement and other activities. The problem of the research is defining, observing and extracting the parameters of the spatial configuration of the urban structure that are imposed as determinants of the spatio-temporal patterns of public spaces utilization. The research is divided according to phases and spatial levels, and aims to establish relations between the configurational attributes of the urban structure and the established quantitative and qualitative characteristics and aspects of public spaces. To investigate the spatial configuration of public spaces, through visibility graph analysis and agent-based analysis, i.e. virtual simulation of pedestrian movement, the method of space syntax was applied. The focus of the conducted analyzes are the connectivity and visual integration parameters, which were evaluated in relation to potential physical and visual obstacles in the space. Empirical research of spatio-temporal patterns of public spaces utilization, includes the central pedestrian zones of Novi Sad, Subotica and Zrenjanin. By applying new theories and methods, obtained results provide an important scientific contribution to the field of studies of public spaces of the city.
