The subject of the doctoral art project “Motherhood and Gender Stereotypes in Art: Scene Design Artwork” in its first part focuses on the observation, research and classification of gender stereotypes which follow the theme of motherhood in the theory of art and culture, as well as in artistic practice. The second part explores examples in the field of visual and performing arts that fit, or do not fit, into the aforementioned classifications by analyzing case studies. The end result is a scene design artwork in the form of a performative spatial installation ”Breathe, Breathe, Push!“.
