Transformacija tradicionalnih medija u novom tehnološkom okruženju

Abstract

Ovaj rad istraţuje promene tradicionalnih medija do kojih dolazi u novom, digitalnom okruţenju. U radu se polazi od pretpostavke da je prikazivanje svih sadrţaja u istom digitalnom kodu omogućilo konvergenciju koja je uticala na ove promene, kao i da su osobine imanentne kompjuterskoj mreţi donele novi kvalitet onlajn izdanjima tradicionalnih medija. Ispituje se hipoteza koja glasi da su ove tehnološke promene uticale na promenu karakteristika i uloge tradicionalnih medija i to tako da je brzina ovih promena zavisila od brzine i intenziteta tehnoloških promena u digitalnom svetu kao i od stepena razvijenosti tehniĉko-tehnološke infrastrukture. Promene su korenite i one zahvataju ĉitavo društvo. Informaciona revolucija i umreţeno društvo koncepti su koje je razvio Manuel Kastels (Manuel Castells, 2000, 2004, 2010a) i koji predstavljaju teorijski okvir ovog istraţivanja u ispitivanju odnosa društva i tehnologije. Cilj doktorskog rada je da ispita oblike i posledice transformacije tradicionalnih medija i da objasni zašto se promene odvijaju razliĉitom brzinom na globalnom planu, zatim unutar kruga razvijenih zemalja i posebno u grupi koju ĉine zemlje Jugoistoĉne Evrope koje su u procesu pridruţivanja Evropskoj uniji (Srbija, Bosna i Hercegovina, Makedonija i Albanija). This work explores the changes in traditional media which occur in the new digital environment. The work assumes that the viewing of all contents in the same digital code enables convergence that caused these changes, and that the inherent characteristics of computer network have brought a new quality of online editions of traditional media. The hypothesis, which states that these technological changes affected the change of the characteristics and the role of traditional media in such a way that the speed of these changes depended on the speed and intensity of technological changes in the digital world as well as the development level of technical and technological infrastructure, is being examined. The changes are profound, and they affect the whole society. Information revolution and the network society concepts are developed by Manuel Castells (2000, 2004, 2010a), which represent the theoretical framework of this research in examining the relationship between society and technology. The aim of the doctoral dissertation is to examine the forms and consequences of the transformation of traditional media and to explain why the changes occur at different rates on a global scale, then inside the circle of developed countries, and especially in the group consisting of SEE countries that are in the process of joining the European Union (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Albania).
