razgradnje (dioli, kiseline i hidroksi kiseline) nisu toksiĉni i ulaze u metaboliĉke procese
mikroorganizama. Biodegradabilnost zavisi od hemijske strukture, odnosa hidrofobnosti
i hidrofilnosti, krutosti polimernih lanaca, kristalne strukture i stepena kristaliniĉnosti
koji ima najveći uticaj na biodegradaciju. Biodegradabilna svojstva poliestara se mogu
poboljšati povećanjem hidrofilnosti ugradnjom mekih hidrofilnih segmenata (npr.
polietri) u polimerne lance.
poliestarskih segmenata poli(butilen sukcinata) (PBS), i dva razliĉita hidrofilna meka
polietarska segmenta poli(etilen oksida) (PEO) i poli(tetrametilen oksida) (PTMO).
i hidrolitiĉku degradaciju sintetisanih poli(estar etara).
dimetil-sukcinata, 1,4-butandiola i polietara PEO (Mn=1000 g/mol) u prvoj seriji,
odnosno PTMO (Mn=1000 g/mol) u drugoj seriji kopolimera, u prisustvu efikasnog
katalizatora titan-tetrabutoksida (Ti(OC4H9)4) i bez dodatka termiĉkog stabilizatora.
porastom udela inkorporiranih mekih polietarskih segmenata...
In this dissertation were synthesized and studied aliphatic multiblock poly(ester ether)s
with aim of developing biodegradable polymeric materials which also possess
elastomeric properties and easy processability which is characteristic of thermoplastic
polymers. Elastic behavior of these polymers originate from long amorphous soft
segments, while short crystallizable hard segments provide great impact strength.
Aliphatic polyesters belong to the group of biodegradable polymers susceptible to
biological attack which products of biodegradation (diols, acids and hydroxy acids) are
not toxic and are a part of the metabolic processes of microorganisms. Biodegradability
depends on chemical structure, ratio of hydrophobicity to hydrophilicity, stiffness of the
polymer chains, crystal structure and degree of crystallinity which has the greatest
influence on degradation. The biodegradable properties of polyesters can be improved
through increasing the hydrophilicity by the introduction of hydr...ophilic segments (e.g.
polyethers) into the backbone of the polymer chains.
Biodegradable multiblock poly(ester ether)s based on poly(butylene succinate) as the
hard segment and two different hydrophilic polyethers soft segments poly(ethylene
oxide) (PEO) in the first series, and poly(tetramethylene oxide) (PTMO) in the second
series were synthesized. The content of soft segments was varied from 10 to 50 mass%.
The effect of the introduction of different polyether soft segments on the structure,
physical properties, as well as on enzymatic and hydrolytic degradation was
investigated.
The poly(ester ether)s were synthesized by two stage melt polycondensation reaction
from dimethyl succinate, 1,4-butanediol and PEO (Mn =1000 g/mol) in the first series,
and PTMO (Mn =1000 g/mol) in the second series in the presence of a highly effective
catalyst, tetra-n-butyl-titanate (Ti(OBu)4) and without the addition of a heat stabilizer...
